Who We Are

Our Mission:

There are two commandments that summarize Jesus’ mission for His Church, both its mandate and the behaviors for Kingdom living.

  • The Great Commission

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
— Matthew 28:18-20
  • The Great Commandment

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.
— Mark 12:30-31

Our Vision

Calvary Temple Assembly of God is all about three words:

  • Connected: We're excited to help people connect with the Lord and with others.

  • Called: We seek to understand and pursue our callings, both personally and as the body of Christ

  • Committed: We stand committed to living out our callings in relationship with the Lord, one another, and our world

Five Biblical Functions:

We are a church committed to:

  • Relationships that are intentional and embracing all with the contagious love of Christ.

  • Worship that is Spirit-led, captivating, freeing, and life-transforming.

  • Discipleship that is a Holy Spirit-led process by which everyone grows in the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Service that encourages one another to discover and live out their Spirit-empowered giftings with Christ's compassion.

  • Evangelism that is an ongoing lifestyle that naturally models, intentionally teaches, and lovingly and effectively reaches out to all with the gospel

They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
— Acts 2:45-47
